Welcome
I’m Manya, an undergraduate psychology student aspiring to become a psychotherapist. My work spans crisis intervention, research, and advocacy—driven by a passion for creating culturally informed, evidence-based mental health care.
About Me
I’m Manya, and I believe healing happens at the intersection of empathy and evidence. Whether I’m supporting a person in crisis through textile, creating visual content that makes psychology accessible to thousands, or mentoring fellow students through their academic struggles, I’m driven by one question: How can we create spaces where every person’s cultural identity is honoured while providing the most effective care possible?
My path has taken me from the bustling streets of Delhi to the diverse communities of Toronto, from working with children on the autism spectrum to conducting research on workplace motivation across generations. Each experience has taught me that mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s deeply personal, culturally nuanced, and beautifully complex.
My mission: Building bridges between traditional healing wisdom and modern psychology, especially for young people navigating identity in our rapidly changing world. Because sometimes the most profound healing happens when we honor both where someone comes from and where they’re going. In my free time, you’ll find me lost in the pages of a good fiction book, binge-watching my favourite movies and shows, or capturing little moments through my camera. These are my ways of unwinding and finding creativity in everyday life.
